WRITER / DIRECTOR - 2023 - Present

As part of my studies, I chose to pitch for and bring my script Hunter to life. Having spent more than a year on the script prior to pitching, I took great pride and passion in bringing my characters and story to life. Over pre-production I managed to raise $3000 for production, as well as securing Suzanne Worner as an Executive Producer for the project. During the shoot we utilised soviet lenses, haze and rain systems to give an incredibly beautiful aesthetic to the haunting story. Currently in post-production, I am constantly in meetings regarding video, colour, sound and music as we prepare Hunter for an ambitious international festival run that I know this project has the promise to achieve.

1ST AD - 2024

Jumping onto the heartwarming SAE Capstone film School Bus Friends (dir. Aren Hoogerdijk) as 1st AD, even though I was the earliest trimester student (not even half way through my degree), I took on a massive commitment to the shoot scheduling and on-set operation over 7 shooting days. My responsibilities included crew briefings and maintaining shooting pace as well as ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all cast and crew.

WINNER - Innovation in Music Video (WA Screen Culture Awards 2024)

Having known Alyssa from SAE University College, I directed, shot and edited the music video for Psycho. The music video involved me working with the two main artists and eight dancers, split between a studio and street shooting. As only my debut Music Video, I intend to bring the lessons I’ve learnt from this project forward as I build a larger presence within the WA Music scene.

VIDEOGRAPHER / PHOTOGRAPHER - 2024

Having been asked for by name, at Pixel Expo 2024 I spent the weekend personally shadowing the host and social media personality Pavlovaface around the Perth Convention Centre and Riverside Theatre. I assisted Pav in capturing footage for his YouTube and stream content, capturing B-Roll for SAE, and capturing photos for both Pav and the Pixel Expo team. I operated both behind. around and in-front of stage as well as on the convention floor.

DIRECTOR (Interviews) - 2024

As part of a cinematography unit at SAE, myself and my team filmed a series of EPK interviews with various HODs for the SAE Capstone film Joy (dir. Mayan Canes), starring Chloe Brink and Ethan Powell. I came up with questions and ran the interview with both Mayan (Director and Co-Writer) and Reuben (DP and Co-Writer). This interview centred around the writing process and evolution of story.

VIDEOGRAPHER - 2024

In representation of SAE, myself and a group of other (later stage) film students captured footage of speakers, guests, art, and artists at the launch of the 2024 PULSE exhibit at the Art Gallery of WA.
Later in the weekend, I was the primary camera operator capturing footage of an interview with the gallery director and a major designer.

CAMERA OPERATOR - 2023

During my first trimester, attained through a university lecturer, I assisted in camera operation supporting a freelance videographer Michael Titter. On the night I helped to capture stand-up comedy on the main stage (hosted by Rove McManus), B-roll and run-and-gun vox pop interviews with attendees after the show.

VIDEOGRAPHER - 2023

During my first trimester I was a student representative for SAE University College, operating as a videographer working backstage at the WAM Awards alongside Triple J, and some of the most well known musicians WA has to offer. including Voyager, Joan & The Giants, Smolfish, and more.
During WAMFest later in the weekend, I anchored on the Triple J stage, capturing footage and stills of Smolfish, Mali Jo$e, DICE The Band, and Great Gable.

WRITER / DIRECTOR - 2023 - Present

During the break between my first and second trimeters at SAE, I wrote and directed an ambitious short film Darkroom. Through crowdfunding I managed to attain and utilise $2500 for production, focusing on building an immersive set and attaining a strong shooting location. Though not yet released, Darkroom is in the late stages of post-production.
